Chinese New Year 2006 is approaching soon....

Though the CNY atmosphere is lesser and slower, I think it has already started!! Shopping complex was packed filled with people and I happen to be around in Bukit Raja the other day when the Lion Dance was on. Maybe it is the programmed mind of mine, which relates the Lion Dance Drum sounds to CNY celebration, but I felt excited that, FINALLY, CNY again...
p/s: If you would to ask me WHY am I excited, I'd probably don't know the answer, except to say, it's a LONG holiday from work... HAHAHAHAHA

Too bad this year, I can't eat lotsa stuff that I like, for example mandarin oranges, every single one that I peel, I have to tell myself this is the last. SIGH, advise: Don't be pregnant during CNY, hehehe....

I got my bonus for the year of 2005 last week!! What does that got to do with life perspective you ask?? HeHeHe...

When the letter was handed to me, Mr. Boss clearly state, saying that bonus here is not that good, and with that statement playing in my mind while tearing open the envelope (NO LAR, not in front of Mr. Boss lar), the sum that was starting at me back in BOLD, was the BIGGEST bonus I have ever had in my 5 working years..... Even when I read that the amount will be prorated for staff that did not work a full year, the after calculation amount still beats all other bonuses amount. (NOTE: Not that it was a hell lot, but it was the most I have ever received)

SIDENOTE: The company that I was previusly working with, has MINIMAL (read: SMALL) bonus. In the whole of my 4 years there, I have received a total of less than 50% of the highest monthly salary that I ever had.

Now, what I'm trying to say is that, everyone here, including Mr. Boss is 'complaining' about the bonus being little, and not being happy about it, while for me, it is the BEST I have ever gotten. If this amount was being distributed in my previous company, EVERY SINGLE STAFF(previous company) will be happy instead of complaining(current company)!!!!

When I think it over, doesn't this show that it is always the case that humans are NEVER happy with what they have, instead the more they get, the more they ask for? It's really how we choose to look at life and what it is offering us with, that determines our happiness. Sometimes, I think I take too much things for granted, when I started to complain about my life and how it sucks, which I learnt that, as soon as I take a different approach to look at things that happened, it means a totally different thing altogether again.....

On another topic: I realised that they did not prorate the amount that they have mentioned in the letter, ang gave me in full. If you were me, what would you have done? To check with HR and risk a quarter of the amount being taken away, or to keep quiet and risk being found out if there was an error??

I remember blogging about sunset a long time ago, and a friend told me, he likes sunrise more.....

Today morning, while driving to work in the traffic filled Federal Highway, a beautiful scenery captured my eyes (eeee, I KNOW, I should be having them on the road instead), and instantly, I took out my camera and snapped 2 shots (NOT so good though, considering I oni have 2 eyes, and 2 hands.. Which were shared between the camera, steering wheel, scenery, and the road)... Next time, the traffic law will have a 'NO PHOTOSHOT AND DRIVE' alongside the 'NO DRINK AND DRIVE' slogan..... ;)

The cloud game me a sign of hope, something to look forward to, a bright new day, with the bright sun beam escaping the cloud and the beautiful bright lights arouind the silhoutte of the lone ranger cloud in the bright clear sky.....

Then, while uploading these photos, I saw another sunrise shot taken a week back, along the kampung (village) road on my way down south (Johor State) for my grandma's birthday, which at the time of dawn, I found beautiful too.... The signs of hope, and future.....

This was taken in Kayu Nasi Kandar, Bukit Tinggi (Klang)...

We (2 friends, hubby and myself) have all taken out lunch at the time we saw this waiter bringing out this super duper tall (as it's standing) roti paper with his both hands stretched to the max from top to bottom (from holding it), we HAD to order 1 to try, or at least to blog on...

After much anticipation, the Roti Paper (Roti Tissue, some calls it) arrived, and it couldn't even stand on it's own that the waiter needed 2 extra plate to a logish banana leave like plate to lay the 'delicacy' on, and it took up nearly 3 quarter of the diameter of the round table we were occupying, which could sit about 7 adults, comfortably... Well, it's nice, of course, thinly done, crispy and crunchy, but really sweet with the condence milk, butter and sugar coated on it... It's good for sitting around, chatting and just nibbling, but it DEFINITELY have to be a eat in order, as I can't imagine how it could be packed up to be a take-away....

Super long eh?? hahaha (long lar, now that it's lying down)

"Tomorrow morning," the surgeon began, "I'll open up your heart..."
"You'll find Jesus there," the boy interrupted.
The surgeon looked up, annoyed "I'll cut your heart open," he continued, to see how much damage has been done..."
"But when you open up my heart, you'll find Jesus in there," said the boy.
The surgeon looked to the parents, who sat quietly. "When I see how much damage has been done, I'll sew your heart and chest back up, and I'll plan what to do next."
"But you'll find Jesus in my heart. The Bible says He lives there. The hymns all say He lives there. You'll find Him in my heart."
The surgeon had had enough. "I'll tell you what I'll find in your heart. I'll find damaged muscle, low blood supply, and weakened vessels. And I'll find out if I can make you well."
"You'll find Jesus there too. He lives there."
The surgeon left.
The surgeon sat in his office, recording his notes from the surgery, "...damaged aorta, damaged pulmonary vein, widespread muscle degeneration. No hope for transplant, no hope for cure. Therapy: painkillers and bed rest. Prognosis:, "here he paused, "death within one year."
He stopped the recorder, but there was more to be said. "Why?" he asked aloud. "Why did You do this? You've put him here; You've put him in this pain; and You've cursed him to an early death. Why?"The Lord answered and said, "The boy,
My lamb, was not meant for your flock for long, for he is a part of My flock, and will forever be. Here, in My flock, he will feel no pain, and will be comforted as you cannot imagine. His parents will one day join him here, and they will know peace, and My flock will continue to grow."
The surgeon's tears were hot, but his anger was hotter. "You created that boy, an d You created that heart. He'll be dead in months. Why?" The Lord answered, "The boy, My lamb, shall return to My flock, for He has Done his duty: I did not put My lamb with your flock to lose him, but to retrieve another lost lamb."
The surgeon wept.. The surgeon sat beside the boy's bed; the boy's parents sat across from him. The boy awoke and whispered, "Did you cut open my heart?"
"Yes," said the surgeon.
"What did you find?" asked the boy.
"I found Jesus there," said the surgeon.

Jesus said, "If you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you before my Father.."

I Am Not Ashamed.
"Yes, I do Love God.
He is my source of existence and Savior.
He keeps me functioning each and everyday.
Without Him, I will be nothing.
Without him, I am nothing, but with Him I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me."

God didn't promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow,
sun without rain,
but He did promise strength for the day,
comfort for the tears,
and light for the way.

Read this line very slowly and let it sink in...

~ If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it ~
I was just telling hubby the other day about it, that I shouldn't worry about something too much, if God made it happen, He will help me find solution to it. If God made it happen, he will provide me enough to go through it. If God made it happen, it means He knows I am capable of it or if not, I would be learning something new....
