Backdated post!!
aiya, been busy lately... :(
We bought a walker for Rachel last Saturday... It was VERY colourful, supposedly very functional, and one that we both liked instantly, instead of others which we were skeptical about... It cost a small bomb (EVERY MONTH, there's a small bomb, spent on Rachel's new stuff, lets hope this is the last big thing we need to get), RM200 after discount, but it can be used in future, for her to hold while learning to walk steadily... Yeah, the sit can be removed and the back handle can be turned to the front for her to hold... We also like this where the walker whells will not allow baby to walk side way, if want to turn, have to do it by front force (just like our car lar), so Rachel won't learn the crab walking style eh? hahaha...ANYWAY, she's still not so keen in this, but slowly, hopefully she'll love it... Though I have read that walker train different sets of muscle compared to walking, so we are making sure her time in the walker is limited!
We also regret buying it a little at first, because when we attempted to try fit it into the car, IT WOULDN'T GO IN! And we couldn't take it apart it either, cuz the parts were all 'locked' in... Until Tecky, the mild tempered one between us, also lost his temper I tell you!!! Lucky when we tried again on Sunday, we could take away certain pieces of plastic from the 3 legs and that ease the job of moving it around, though it's not so portable!!
A tip for those that wants to get a walker, please remember to take into consideration the portability if you wish to bring the walker around, wherever the baby goes (in my case, my inlaw's house, my mom's house, Rachel's great grandma's house, and our own home)...
ANYHOW, the walker does look attractive eh? hehehe....
