Tecky and I have just signed up for a savings + insurance policy for Rachel...
I know many older generation people are still very skeptical about insurance, upon hearing the bad publicity it has gotten, including not getting reimbursed (which I believe mostly are caused by policy holder not reading the fine lines or not understanding the things they sign correctly) and also that some thinks that it's a bad omen to be preparing for bad things to happen!!

As for me, I don't quite like the idea of having the additional monthly (or even quarterly, half yearly or yearly) extra payment I have to make, but then, I have seen the good things insurance can do... I saw the 'goodness' or insurance when my dad got sick... Good thing he was forced to sign up an insurance policy for his overdraft from a bank, really! Cuz it helped pay off his SKY HIGH medical bills, and also we have additional money to cover part of my education fees... AT TRIAL TIME, keep in mind...

There are so many insurance provider out there, same goes for the type of insurance policies availble in the market!! In general, those we normally see or hear of, which most people does have, are car insurance (which we need to renew yearly to get our road tax, good thing), home insurance (something I really need to look into VERY SOON - yeah yeah, I have not sign up 1 yet! *blush*), education insurance (something very popular now among parents and for pet lovers, you even have pet insurance... Just make sure you research on what you really need and what the policy covers, read the fine prints...
